Years of Experience – 12+ years on 4G Telecom deployments & Testing with last 2-3 years on 5G Core planning, deployment and testing.
As a 5G LAB Architect/Team Lead, you will be responsible for designing architecture of end to end 5G lab infrastructure, which can be leveraged for 5G network equipment certification including 5GC, IP Transport, RAN, OSS/BSS.

Position Responsibility:
• Owns overall responsibility in the E2E Testing Cycle for the specified entities– Test Strategy/Design, Test case preparation, Test Execution, Test automation.
• Integration/Functional/Performance Test Plan Development, Test Execution, Log Analysis, Problem Isolation, Test Automation Strong debugging, and analytical skills.
• Setting up & testing of 5G core network lab with RAN, IP network, OSS, BSS systems.
• Technical knowledge of 5G Architecture, call flow for building various testing procedures, designing test cases and building innovative automation techniques for testing in lab / Pre-pod environments.
• Knowledge of virtualization (Hypervisors), KVM based deployments (Red Hat) & container-based deployment (Kubernetes) for building test cases for cloud infrastructure used in 5G network.
• Troubleshooting of various 5G call flows both for packet & voice services in an end to end system.
• Create and design handover & roaming scenarios (Inter cell/Intra cell/Inter TAC/Inter PLMN) and means to simulate them in a lab environment.
• Designing and development of test cases on industry based 5G testing tools like Spirent, Keysight, R&S etc. Should be able to handle packet capturing tools like wireshark/t-shark, Pcap analysis, traffic generation tools such as iPerf, traffic generators.
• Propose & design various types of network testing and hardening, and environment requirements.
• Should be able to build automation around the test cases for various scenarios through shell scripting for troubleshooting, analyzing the issues. Well versed with Telecom standardizations & specifications such as 3GPP protocols and process.
• Driving teams for attaining KPIs and ensuring improved SLAs. Having different OEM products and technology. Knowledge / exposure of DevOPs, Automation tools.
Must Have Technical Skills/Exposure:
Exposure to new Technology like – Telco cloud,4G/5G Core, RAN, ORAN, OpenStack, KVM and Micro services of Kubernetes etc.
• Should have experience of designing / planning / testing of 5GC for OEM’s such as Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, Mavenir (preferably Nokia core)
• Working knowledge in Private and Public Cloud Platforms like Redhat Openstack, Openshift, VMware, AWS, Azure or GCP, cloud native functions (CNF), SDN, NFVi, VNF, Kubernetes, Containers. (Preferably AWS)
• Strong knowledge of CS, IMS, EPC and 5G Core networks elements, protocols, interfaces, and Architecture, preferably in an integration and lab test environment role.
• Strong understanding of mobile service call flows, e.g., Data session, Voice call, SMS, prepaid and network structure knowledge, e.g., gNodeB, 5GC, SBA (Service based architecture), API flows & request response.
• Experience of creating testing scenarios for 5GC, EPC, IMS, RCS, SDN/NFV and 4G/5G RAN.
• Handson experience on industry tools used for telecom network testing such as UE Simulators, 5G subsystem emulators, traffic generators with various service classes
• Should have the sound understanding of 5G/4G core and RAN parameters.
• Well conversed in managing multivendor/service provider environment
• Work with minimal direction from supervisor/Core Lead
• Should have experience in handling large program delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Telecoms Protocols.
• Well versed with Telecom integration and testing.
• Expertise with core network simulated tools like Spirent Landslide & DevSol etc.
• Cloud network Delivery transformation / transition management (any cloud platform = Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Knowledge on DevOps tools (Ansible/Jenkin) and Scripting (Python etc.), cloud platforms will be added advantage.
• Must have good working knowledge of Telecom Network Design and Documentation Tools like draw.io and Productivity Tools like MS Project / Excel/ PowerPoint.
